Profile: Nadia is the CEO and one of the founding members of The Language Editor. She originates from Cairo, Egypt. Nadia is a polymath whose education and experience embrace a multicultural and international spectrum. Educated at the English School Cairo in Egypt, and The Cheltenham Ladies College in the United Kingdom, where she completed the Oxford and London University Board of Examinations General Certificate of Education at the Ordinary and Advanced Levels, she went on to obtain a Certificate in English Literature, History and Art Appreciation from the House of Citizenship, Hartwell House, Buckinghamshire. Furthermore, she succeeded in attaining a Diploma in the German Language at "Mittelstufe"- zur Pflege der Deutschen Sprache im Ausland und zur Förderung der internationalen kulturellen Zusammenarbeit, as well as a Zertifikat Deutsch als Fremdsprache at the Goethe Institute in Alexandria.
Nadia has wide experience from periods spent in the protocol areas of the Embassies of the USA and the UK in Cairo. She was awarded the United States Department of State Meritorious Honor Award for exceptional initiative and conscientious services in 1991; and special commendation from HRH the Prince of Wales and from HRH Princess Anne the Princess Royal, in recognition of outstanding performance during their visit to Cairo and the British Embassy in March 1995 and 1999. Moreover, Nadia is a Rotarian and Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow (2007 and 2008).
Furthermore, Nadia worked as CEO of the British Egyptian Business Association and held the post of Reports Editor to the Shell Egypt Exploration Department and Personal Assistant to the Chairman and CEO of Shell Companies in Egypt and the Middle East. She was also English Language Teacher for English for Special Purposes (ESP) in the Institute of Public Services, Faculty of Arts and Literature, University of Alexandria as well as at the German School of St. Charles Borromée in Alexandria. Moreover, Nadia held the position of Director and Secretary-General of Le Conservatoire de Musique d'Alexandrie for several years. She was also the Resident Delegate of Compagnie C.L.C. International of Marseille in Alexandria, Egypt.
Nadia was Charter President of the Rotary Club of Giza Cosmopolitan in Egypt and was awarded Paul Harris Fellow in 2007 and 2008 (Sapphire) in her name in recognition of her contribution towards The Rotary Foundation. Nadia has also been a member of the Rotary Club of Shrewsbury since July 2014.
For over a decade, Nadia has been working as an "Independent Writing and Editing Professional". She has extensive experience and capabilities in writing, proofreading, editing and evaluating different English publications and documents.
