Q. I don't want to send you my document over email. Can I send it by post?

A. Of course. We are happy to receive material by post. Please remember to retain a copy in case the material is lost in the post. Also, please remember to allow more time for the postage to us and for the return of your edited material.

Q. Can I pay by credit card?

A. At present, we can only accept payment through online banking, PayPal, cheque, Western Union or cash (in person, not in the post). When our credit card payment gateway is available, we will advise clients through our website.

Q. Can I meet my Consultant Editor in person?

A. As an online business, we encourage our clients to contact us via email, phone or using Viber/Skype. Face-to-face meetings can be set up when needed.

Q. The language that I need help with is not listed on your homepage. Can you still help?

A. Yes, please contact us and we may be able to help you. Our list of languages is dynamic and our aim is to provide as many languages as possible.

Q. How does The Language Editor's pricing compare to other editors and proofreaders?

A. We position ourselves, in terms of pricing, between freelancers and large editing/translation agencies. Because we work with a small team of editors/translators within a language, you can rely on us for availability and a quick turnaround. Our process is also geared towards quality assurance. Our set-up means that we can also manage medium to large projects at affordable prices. The best way to find out for sure is to request a quote from us, ask other providers for quotes, and compare. Remember to also look at what you would be getting for your money and not just look at the price.

Q. I don't know how to use a word processor. Can I send you a hand-written document?

A. We are happy to receive written documents in any form. You will, however, appreciate that converting non-electronic documents into a digital format may be a time-consuming and costly matter. Get in touch and we will see what we can do. We'll give you a quote for that part of the job. You can then decide if you want us to do it or if you can perhaps ask a friend to help you first.
